Once upon a time...

...there was a girl named Henrike. She loved to write. One day she met a couple of friends, but they weren't Dutch, so the friends couldn't read the blogs she already wrote in her own language. Later the girl found out that sometimes it's easier to express yourself in English. With all this in the head, she started a blog for her outside friends and to be able to express those things in another language. There was just one problem: she couldn't write in perfect English and there wasn't a big vocabulair in her head. But her will was stronger than her fear so she just began with this blog...

This little story is about me off course. And here is the blog I was doubting about so much time. I just realize that language doesn't have to be a burdon and I hope that everyone who reads this will look further than my English handicap. I called it 'Vita Henrikae - my place in this world'. That first is because it is in Latin and my other blog is called the same. Latin is a language that isn't used anymore, but that also means that it isn't connected with a country. Vita Henrikae means: the life of Henrike. The subscript is because I'm searching for this place, meaning: my place in the world that He has made. He formed me and it was His choice that I live right here, right now. Because He gave this miracle of life to me, I want to find the place that He has made for me. He has his plan and his destination for me and I will search and I will live in that way! There is a song of Michael W. Smith, which I love and which also goes about the search to your own place in this world.
A heart that's hopeful
A head that's full of dreams
But this becoming
Is harder than it seems

Feels like I'm
Looking for a reason
Roamin' throught the night to find
My place in this world
My place in this world
Not a lot to lean on
I need Your light to help me find
My place in this world
My place in this world.
