Last Christmas...

You saved my heart. Christmas songs ruled the radio, lights were everywhere, Santaclaus was standing on every corner of the street. People were considering what kind of shiny, glamorous clothes they would wear, they were considering what kind of meal they would prepare, what guest they would invite. And yes, that's part of Christmas as well. It's important to have wonderful days with the people you love and it's good to look fabulous, but it's not in the clothes, the food and the company. It's all about a little baby. It's about the bright star, the perfect formed child and the love for the world, the love of God. I realized that this Christmas and because of that I could have the most perfectly Christmas you're dreaming about. I had all of that things everyone had, I had a dress I really like, I had my family around, I had delicious food, but I could enjoy it that much, because I knew it was His birth. That was the reason that I feeled so happy, that I was filled with joy. Therefor I'll be thankful, for the little baby Jesus, that He made my Christmas that special, that wonderful, that joyfull.

On Christmas Eve sandartist Gert touched me with his version of the Christmas story. And I would love to share, I'm sorry that it's in Dutch, but I think that it will be clear what they're saying. You'll find it here: click

How did you spend and experience these days? I hope you had a merry Christmas!
