Eat, pray, love

Today I watched the movie: eat pray love. Sometimes I didn't follow anything of it, but despite the vague feeling it touched my heart. There was a sentence, which I won't forget ever. "Ruin is a gift. Ruin is the road to transformation." Something Liz discover after she went to the Augusteum. But these three things are important and fundaments for our lifes I think. Maybe eat doesn't belong to a fundament, but when you don't eat you will die. But in the film they meant something else. They mean: passione (for food). And that brings a lovely memory in my head. A few months ago I made a trip to Rome with school. The first destination of Liz is Italy and she come there to find the love back she had for food. I think Italy is the perfect place to find that love back... but back to my memory. I was in Rome and we had some free time to walked through some streets. We arrange to come together again at three o' clock on the square or plaza. OK. Together with a friends we walk on in some street to look for a gelato. But we couldn't find one, so we keep on walking and walking... Finally we find one and bought a delicious gelato and walked on while we were eating our icecream. Halfway we needed a bathroom so we ask some Italian people where we could find one and they told us all something different. So we could go four different ways and decided to go to the left, at the end we saw Scalinata della Trinità dei Monti (the Spanish stairs). What? Had we walked so far and what time was it? It was already five minutes past three and we were far away from the plaza we had to be five minutes before. We try to call some people, but no one respond. Oops! We tried to send a short messages and a few minutes later we get one back. So they knew that we were lost, not really lost, because we knew where we were and where we had to go. We went on our own to the next oddity (Trevi Fontana, lovely!) and join up to the group. We had so much fun walking through the streets of Rome with our gelato. Eat, well, I think it's a fundament, I have so much good memories about eating! Haha, I love to eat, I'm sorry.

The others pray and love are clear I think. Another quote: Hello God, it's nice to meet you. That makes me smile, the first prayer for Liz. I can only agree that it is nice to meet Him everyday again, and I also thinks that pray with your creator will be a fundament where you can stand on. Like the bible said: He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress— I will never be greatly shaken. Psalm 62. About love I won't say anything, but this: "Balance is not letting anyone love you less than you love yourself." Everyone needs love, that's a fact!

If you haven't seen Eat Pray Love yet, make sure you'll see it really soon!
